Monthly SPARC committee MeetingSummary of decisions, discussions, and action items:
1. The January meeting was a big success, with over 25 customers and 10 vendors in attendance.
2. The February meeting is to be held on the 7th. The speaker will be Art Mafale from Strategic Technologies and the topic is "Why is Performance and Load Testing Important?"
3. The newsletter for February is written and posted on the web site. Older newsletters are now in an archive linked from the main page for ease of navigation to the presentations.
4. Jay provided Steve with FTP access to the web site and Steve will begin managing the content where possible. Steve uploaded the February newsletter and updated the main page. Steve created and uploaded the newsletter archive page.
5. The topic for the March meeting is storage technologies and solutions, and Sun will sponsor the March 7th meeting.
6. Lee and Steve will approach Veritas for both a speaker and will sponsor the April meeting on April 4th, 2002.
7. Topic suggested for May will be high availability and clustering solutions. Sun will sponsor the meeting.
8. Steve will investigate placing meeting times and dates in the Richmond Times Dispatch Monday business section for the Monday prior to each general membership meeting.
9. Steve will post these minutes on the web site.
