July's Topic: Solaris 9

Sun has just released Solaris 9, rich with new features and functionality. Harry Foxwell, a Sun Systems Engineer and Solaris specialist, will make the presentation.

Harry will answer your questions such as:

• What's new in Solaris 9?
• Should I consider it right away for production applications?
• Is it difficult to upgrade from my current version of the OS?
• How certain can I be of application compatibility when migrating to Solaris 9?
• What is the learning curve with using Solaris 9? What training and resources are available?

Harry Foxwell has been with Sun for seven years and is currently pursuing his PhD in Information Technology at George Mason University. He serves as a specialist for Solaris, Java and Linux.
