Monthly SPARC committee Meeting

1. Welcome to Rajan Janjani (GE Financial) as a new attendee at the steering committee.
2. Next meeting date will be 4/3. The committee meeting will continue to be held just prior to the general membership meeting as this time works well for most members.
3. The Northern Virginia group had an interesting topic - Security and ROI. It was presented by Dick Winkler, a Sun SE. This would make a good meeting topic and was selected as the first choice of a topic.
4. An alternate topic is Solaris Security, presented by long time presenter Harry Foxwell. Harry's meetings are always well attended as he is an excellent speaker. This is the second choice of a topic if Dick Winkler cannot make the April meeting.
5. Other topic suggestions for future meetings include Cecil Jacobs to speak on configuring Jumpstart Services, Solaris 9, and Sun internals, and the new version of Veritas.
6. Jay will contact Veritas about the new version for a future meeting.
7. Oracle no longer has a local sales representative.
8. Joe and Wayne will coordinate finalizing topic for April meeting.
9. Many thanks to Sun for sponsoring many of the meetings lately. Joe and Wayne will contact the local resellers to see if they have either topics to present or the desire sponsor a meeting in the next few months.
