Paul Rodi, Jay Campbell Joe McFadden and Wayne Diehl of the Steering Committee met this morning to plan our upcoming meetings.
A summary of our decisions and action items follows:
1. Cecil Jacobs will present the new SunFire product line for our June 7th meeting. Wayne Diehl will find a sponsor for the meeting.
2. Due to Fourth of July holiday, we will not have a July meeting.
3. Our preferred topic for the August meeting is "Trouble Shooting Tools, Tips and Techniques". Joe McFadden will find a speaker. Our backup topic for August, if needed, is "Solaris 8 Adoption and Sun Management Center".
4. For September, we would like to have Steve Gaul back to discuss Security.
5. Wayne Diehl will meet with Sun Resellers to gain their commitment to being a part of the Steering Committee.
6. Jay will poll our membership to determine if an alternate meeting time would be preferable to the 4:00PM hour that we are currently using. Possible alternatives are meeting at noon and serving pizza or meeting later in the day at 4:30 PM.
