It's been over a year since we've talked about storage, and Cecil Jacobs is going to provide a technical update. You will learn about ATA-based technologies and where SATA fits in the Sun storage strategy, the latest storage virtualization developments and products from Sun Network Storage, and Enterprise Storage Management strategies for a heterogeneous environment.

Cecil always provides us with an in-depth view of technology and how/where to apply it. His presentations have a strong technical bent, and we are sure to have a lively discussion around this topic. Be sure to attend this informative session.

Cecil Jacobs, a Sun storage technologist, and former Sun Data Management Ambassador has over 16 years of experience in the computer industry. Cecil's background includes structured programming for the USAF at Langley AFB followed by almost 8 years of field experience installing, integrating, and maintaining Sun and other UNIX solutions in the government and commercial sectors. He was a Sun Education Partner instructor for over 6 years, and joined Sun in 1999 to become a pre-sales systems engineer.

LOCATION: Genworth Financial, formerly GE Financial Assurance, in Building 4 (6630 West Broad St.) on the sixth floor (GEFA U). Genworth Financial is located on West Broad Street in the Brookfield Office Park. After turning at the light on Broad Street and entering the Brookfield Complex...you should stay in the left lane and turn left at the stop sign. Follow the road around past the Sheraton to Building 4 toward the back of the campus. Turn left for Visitor Parking. Additional parking is located on the far side of the building as well. Please enter at the front main entrance.
