September's Topic:  Sun Server Update

Sun has introduced a flurry of new server products in the past month. Among these are:
a) new AMD Opteron based servers (both low and high end),
b) new, faster processors for Enterprise servers
c) replacement servers for the V210, V240 and V440
d) unique storage servers
e) new blade server

We will provide you an overview of these groundbreaking new releases and answer your specific questions about how they might fit into your data center.

Our speaker, Kerry Mull is a ten year veteran with Sun Microsystems, specializing in SPARC chip and server technology. Kerry previously held other pre-sales Systems Engineer positions in Sun's technical sales organization, including E10000 server specialist, High Performance Computing specialist, and server product specialist. Kerry is currently a Sun Technical Systems Ambassador, specializing in server and chip hardware futures. Kerry joined Sun as part of the Cray Research BSD acquisition and previously did software development and systems integration at SAIC, MCI, Tandem Computers, and Boeing. Kerry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Genworth Financial is located on West Broad Street in the Brookfield Office Park.  After turning at the light on Broad Street and entering the Brookfield Complex...you should stay in the left lane and turn left at the stop sign. Follow the road around past the Sheraton to Building 4 toward the back of the campus. Turn left for Visitor Parking.  Additional parking is located on the far side of the building as well.  Please enter at the front main entrance.
